App Information
Privacy Policy
Effective November 1, 2026
second-brain is personal software operated by Dan Martell on his own computer for his authorized YouTube channel work. It uses YouTube API Services. This policy covers that software and this app-information page, not unrelated services or websites.
Information Accessed
- Channel and video information: channel names and IDs, video metadata, and statistics returned for the owner’s requested work.
- Channel analytics: authorized reports, such as views and watch time, returned by the YouTube Analytics API.
- Upload information: video files selected by the owner, titles, descriptions, audience declarations, privacy settings, publication times, and the resulting upload status and video IDs.
- Authorization records: OAuth tokens, granted scopes, client configuration, and the connected channel’s identity. The local software does not collect a Google account password.
The app’s known YouTube permissions are youtube.readonly, yt-analytics.readonly, and youtube.upload. The analytics connection uses the two read-only permissions. The publishing connection uses upload and channel-read permissions. Not every connection uses every permission.
How Information Is Used
Channel data and analytics support the owner’s content analysis and planning. Upload information is used to send selected videos to YouTube, set the approved metadata and publication time, verify the destination channel, and recover interrupted uploads without creating duplicates. OAuth tokens maintain authorized access without asking the owner to sign in for each operation.
The app does not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial-intelligence models.
Local Storage And Retention
Authorization records and upload-resume records are stored on the owner’s computer. The current configuration uses owner-only directories and file permissions for those records. Selected media, exported reports, and working files may also be retained locally as part of the owner’s content workflow.
Authorization records remain until the owner disconnects or removes them. Upload records are retained to support recovery and duplicate prevention. Working files and reports are retained for the owner’s requested work and can be deleted by the owner when no longer needed. The current tool does not enforce a fixed automatic deletion period. Local backups, if configured by the owner, may retain additional copies under their own retention settings.
Information Shared
The app sends OAuth requests, authorized API requests, and selected upload files and metadata to Google and YouTube. A public or scheduled-public upload becomes available according to its YouTube publication settings. The app-information website does not expose authorization records or provide access to the owner’s channels.
When the owner runs the tool through an assistant or other authorized workflow, selected instructions and returned results may be processed by that service under its applicable settings and terms. Authorization secrets are kept separate from those results. The owner may also explicitly share selected clips or reports with collaborators. These actions do not make the underlying OAuth credentials public.
This static page includes no advertising, tracking scripts, embedded video players, or sign-up form. Its fonts and images are served as local website assets. The website’s hosting provider may process ordinary request information, such as an IP address and browser information, to deliver and operate the site.
Disconnecting And Deleting Data
The owner can revoke the app’s access through Google Account connections by selecting second-brain and removing its access. Revoking access stops further authorized API requests; it does not automatically delete local working files or videos already sent to YouTube.
For local deletion, the owner can stop any active jobs and remove the app’s saved authorization, upload-resume records, reports, and selected working files from the computer and any backups the owner controls. Already-uploaded videos can be managed or deleted in YouTube Studio. Google’s retention and deletion practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
Owner And Policy Changes
Dan Martell operates this owner-only tool and controls its local data. Privacy and deletion requests concerning this tool can be raised directly with Dan through an existing contact channel. There is no external-user account system.
This policy will be updated before the app uses Google data for a new purpose or requests materially different access. Any required additional consent will be obtained before that new access or use.
